University of Mumbai giving scholarship to those who belong to backward classes and also to the needy students. For backward classes they give scholarship of 10 lakh Rs. For those students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per Annum. And for needy students 1 crore rs whose family is less than 75 thousand per Annum. Students have to fill the application form with their eligibility.

They also provide the Medical insurance at the time of accidental death, permanent disability or hospitalization expenses. There is also a scholarship provided by government. This scholarship only for those student who belong to C/ST/DT/NT/SBC category and whose parents income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per Annum.
