Calicut University Distance Education Admission 2019-20: UG & PG Online Registration, Application, Admission

Calicut University, School of Distance Education provides distance education since 1981. School of Distance Education a major department from all the departments which is established in 1981. Now it becomes the major education provider in all over Kerala district and also in the other parts of India. It provides 16 undergraduate courses, 13 postgraduate courses and 2 diploma courses and takes more than 60,000 students every year.

  • To get admission in UG Courses, Student should have completes their 12th from Kerala board and any other recognized board.
  • Candidates who have a bachelors(graduation) degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University are eligible to apply for PG courses.
  • Selection for UG and PG courses(except MBA) will be based on the merit list.
  • Students who want to get admission in MBA must have to qualify CU MAT which is conducted by the Calicut University.
  • Application procedure is same for all courses(except MBA) and candidates can get admission directly to the courses. Candidates can also seek spot admissions.

Calicut University Distance Education UG Admission 2019

Calicut University Distance Education provides various undergraduate courses and programmes in Arts, Commerce and Management. To get admission in bachelor’s degree course and programmes, candidate must be completed their 12th or 10+2 from Kerala State board or any other equivalent recognized Board. For admission in B.Com and BBA, at least one commerce subject is mandatory at 10+2 level means candidates must have passed their 12th with at least one commerce subject.

  • To apply for B.Com & BBA, Candidate must have completed their 12th with at least one commerce subject.
  • Candidates who do not studied 12th with at least one commerce subject and have secured aggregate 45% marks are also eligible to apply for B.Com & BBA.
  • OBC/OEC candidates can get 5% concession with their marks at the time of admission in particular course.
  • While  SC/ST candidates have to score only passing marks at 10+2 level.

How to Study

To prepare for academic examinations, School of Distance Education, Calicut University provides Study material, assignments & contact classes. For particular course, Study material is given by the School of Distance Education, Calicut University if at least 50 students enrolled in the current session of that particular course.

Syllabus and Textbooks are same for both courses offered by affiliated colleges of university in regular mode and Courses offered by School of Distance Education. Examination of distance courses final decision will be taken by the controller of examination of University of Calicut. Calicut University Distance Education PG Admission 2019

Calicut University Distance Education provides various postgraduate or master degree courses and programmes in Arts, Commerce and Management. To get admission in master’s(postgraduation) degree course and programmes, candidate must be completed their bachelor’s degree or graduation in the relevant discipline. Candidate must have secured an aggregate 45% marks in Part III or equivalent grade from Kerala University or any other equivalent recognized University.

  • OBC/OEC candidates can get 5% relaxation with their marks at the time of admission in particular course.
  • While to get admission in PG courses and programmes, SC/ST candidates have to score only passing marks in their bachelor’s degree(graduation).

Calicut University Distance Education Online Registration 2019

Calicut University Distance Education invites applications online for admission in various courses and programmes on official website of Calicut University, School of Distance Education. After successful registration of a particular course, Candidates have to take the print out the filled application form and then send the printout of application with attested photo(photo should be attested by a Gazetted Officer) & all the required documents directly at the School of Distance Education, Calicut University or via post.

How to Apply

  • Visit offical website of Calicut University, School of Distance Education(SDEUOC)
  • Pay the Application fee online through Jana Sevana Kendrams/Akshayas or State Bank of Travancore (via e-challan) and SBT Internet Banking.
  • Now, Save/Print the challan receipt for future preferences.
  • An OTP will be received in your Registered Mobile.
  • Go to Online Registration.
  • Choose your Course and click on your chosen course link.
  • Enter the challan number and OTP then Click on Validate.
  • Now, Fill all the necessary details in the Registration/Application form and upload the photograph in JPEG format.
  • Save/Print the online application form for future preferences.

Candidates have to take the print out the filled application form after submission of online application form. Then, Applicants need to send the printout of application with attested photo(photo should be attested by a Gazetted Officer), fees of Rs. 55 & all the required documents to:

  • Original and also a copy of mark sheets of qualifying examinations
  • Copy of SSLC/Proof of age and date of birth with self-attestation
  • Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card
  • Caste certificate(if belongs to OBC/OEC, SC/ST category)
  • Application form for concession in fees for SC/ST/OEC candidates with community certificate, income certificate, and Domicile(Nativity Certificate).
  • In case of teachers, Govt. Employee and university employee, Certificate of relaxation in marks from authority.
  • Equivalency certificate from University of Calicut for those who have completed their degree from the university outside Kerala district
  • Physically Handicapped/ Differently Abled candidates should have to submit medical certificate or proof about their disability.
