Eligibility Criteria for Calicut University

Students who want to take admission in must have a master degree or a professional degree from Calicut University or any other equivalent university which is recognized by UGC or AICTE and secure at least  55% marks aggregate. The candidate who has an equivalent degree of masters from a foreign educational institution is also eligible to get admission.

If you have an M.Phil. degree from a university which is recognized by UGC or AICTE and scored 55% marks aggregate are also eligible to apply for research programmes in Calicut University.

Applicants who are working for Universities, Institutes, Government, Private Organization nominated, National Laboratories and sponsored as the respective employer and have M.Phil. degree or any post-graduation or master degree from a university which is recognized by UGC or AICTE and scored 55% marks aggregate are also eligible to apply for Calicut University PhD Admission.

OBC candidate can get 10% relaxation and SC/ST candidate can get 10% relaxation

General category candidates have to score a minimum of 50% in the Entrance test of Calicut University PhD Admission programme. While SC/ST candidates get 10% relaxation in their marks and OBC candidates get 5% relaxation in their marks.

Submit Application Form to Calicut University

After downloading the application form, fill all the necessary details in the Application form and attach duly attested e-challan receipt and then send it to Head of the University Teaching Departments before the last date.

Selection Process in Calicut University

Candidates who score at least 50% marks in the entrance examination are eligible to apply for admission in the PhD programme. Whereas SC/ST candidates have to score 40% marks and OBC candidates have to obtain 45% marks to get eligible for the selection
